Statement of Purpose

Our purpose is to gather together to celebrate "God" and His love for us, to celebrate the "family" that embraces us, to celebrate the "diversity" that strengthens us and to celebrate the "community" that unites us.

Psalm 145:7 describes our purpose in saying; "They will celebrate Your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of Your righteousness." (NIV) Who is it that we sing joyfully about? Why do we celebrate Him? To read the entire chapter of Psalm 145, click here

God

The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.
Psalm 145:8-9 (NIV)

...God always does what he says, and is gracious in everything he does. God gives a hand to those down on their luck, gives a fresh start to those ready to quit.
Psalm 145:8-9 (Message Version)

Family

So now you... are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God's holy people. You are members of God's family. We are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself. We who believe are carefully joined together, becoming a holy temple for the Lord.
Ephesians 2:19-21 (NLT).

Diversity

After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.
Revelations 7:9 (NIV).

Community

Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.
Acts 2:46, 47 (NIV).
